# auth.md

UAEPropertyAPI is sold through the RapidAPI marketplace. There is no UAEPropertyAPI account system and no OAuth flow. Access is a RapidAPI key sent in request headers.

## auth.md Registration

UAEPropertyAPI does not support automated agent registration. Do not attempt `identity_assertion`, `service_auth` or `anonymous` registration against this site.

A person must create the key:

1. Sign up or log in at RapidAPI: https://rapidapi.com/auth/sign-up
2. Open the API listing: https://rapidapi.com/happyendpoint/api/uae-real-estate-property
3. Subscribe to a plan on the pricing page: https://rapidapi.com/happyendpoint/api/uae-real-estate-property/pricing
   The Basic plan is free: 700 requests per month, hard limit, all endpoints.
4. Copy the key (`X-RapidAPI-Key`) from the listing's code examples or the RapidAPI developer dashboard.

If you are an agent acting for a user, first check whether a key is already available (for example a `RAPIDAPI_KEY` environment variable). If not, ask the user to complete the steps above and store the key where you can read it. Users should not paste keys into chat. Never log, print or put the key in URLs.

## Current Authentication Paths

Send both headers on every request:

Base URL: `https://uae-real-estate-property.p.rapidapi.com`

Check that a key works with the health endpoint:

Errors you may see:

- `401`: missing, invalid or revoked key.
- `403`: the RapidAPI account is not subscribed to this API, or the subscription is suspended.
- `429`: monthly quota or rate limit reached. Upgrade the plan on RapidAPI or wait for the quota to reset.
